Morocco’s National Rally of Independents (RNI) party concluded its nationwide “Path of Achievements” tour in Tangier on Saturday, highlighting government accomplishments over the past four years and outlining priorities for the coming period.
In his opening remarks, RNI leader Aziz Akhannouch emphasized the importance of cohesion within the governing majority, describing it as a “key factor for success.” He said the government’s achievements were “not merely numerical, but the result of a strong ethical and political contract with the Moroccan people.”
The event also marked the launch of a book titled Path of Achievements, which Akhannouch described as a collective work summarizing citizens’ aspirations and proposals, framing it as an invitation to participate in building a “rising Morocco.” He outlined the next phase, dubbed Path of the Future, which will focus on consulting professionals, experts, and youth to address remaining challenges, particularly improving healthcare and education, accelerating job creation, and protecting purchasing power.
Akhannouch also praised the high level of coordination within the governing coalition, noting that the government has managed differences responsibly and prioritized the public interest, enabling the implementation of major reforms despite successive crises since 2021.
The RNI leader presented the party’s work as a continuum, linking the current initiative to previous programs: Path of Trust (2018) and Path of Development. He emphasized that government policies are rooted in citizen feedback, citing consultations with more than 100,000 Moroccans as evidence of field-based input shaping national programs.
On the economic front, Akhannouch cited projected growth of 5% in 2025, a drop in inflation from 6% to below 1%, a reduction in the budget deficit from 7.5% to 3%, and a decrease in public debt from 71.4% in 2022 to 67.4% in 2025. He said these results have enabled direct support to four million families, with monthly payments ranging from 500 to 1,200 dirhams, and the extension of health coverage under the AMO Tadamun scheme.
Speaking about the nationwide consultation tour, which spanned eight months and all regions, Akhannouch said it represented unprecedented engagement: more than 38,000 participants in 12 regional meetings, over 500 hours of direct listening sessions, and 15,000 citizens interacting via the digital Listening platform. He added that the party welcomes both praise and criticism as part of its participatory approach.
Akhannouch concluded by reaffirming that royal directives remain the guiding compass for government action, and emphasized the administration’s commitment to a Morocco marked by unity, social justice, and balanced regional development.
