Morocco’s U17 national team will face the United States on Friday in the round of 16 of the FIFA U17 World Cup, with kickoff scheduled at 16:45 GMT+1 on pitch No. 7 of Aspire Zone in Doha.
The Atlas Lionceaux enter the knockout stage after a turbulent group campaign, rebounding with a record-breaking 16–0 win over New Caledonia following defeats to Japan and Portugal. Head coach Nabil Baha said the knockout phase “is a new tournament,” adding that the United States are “an opponent like any other” despite topping their group with three straight wins.
Midfielder Wassim Dardake said the team’s morale has been boosted by the emphatic victory and improved preparation.
The United States, led by standout midfielder Cavan Sullivan, have demonstrated efficiency throughout the group stage and aim to carry that momentum into Friday’s match.
The match will be broadcast on Arryadia TNT, beIN Sports Xtra 1 HD and the FIFA+ platform.
