Police in Casablanca arrested 30 individuals over the past weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for reckless and dangerous stunt driving on public roads. The arrests were made across various areas of the city as part of intensified security operations.
The suspects were apprehended while performing exhibitionist driving maneuvers, either individually or in groups, using motorcycles in a manner that threatened the safety of other road users and disrupted traffic. Authorities seized a total of 60 vehicles believed to have been used in the dangerous driving. These vehicles have been impounded.
Police noted that many of the arrested individuals were also involved in other crimes, including non-compliance with police orders and insulting officers while on duty. Further charges include driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and the possession and use of bladed weapons and narcotics. The suspects are now in custody pending judicial investigation under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
