Morocco’s Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports has opened applications for the entrance exams to the regional teacher training centers, raising the maximum age for candidates from 30 to 35.

The exams are scheduled for Saturday, November 22, and cover 19,000 available positions across several specializations.

The ministry’s updated conditions follow parliamentary and civil society calls to relax the previous age limit. Applicants must hold Moroccan nationality, enjoy full civil rights, have no criminal record, and be physically fit for teaching duties.

Candidates must also not be employed elsewhere and hold a relevant bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent.

Admission will be based on a preliminary selection from submitted applications, followed by written and oral exams in accordance with decree No. 2.12.90 governing qualification requirements for civil service teaching positions.
