Colombia secured third place at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup after defeating France 1-0 on Saturday at the Julio Martínez Prádanos National Stadium in Santiago.
Colombian forward Óscar Perea scored the match’s only goal in the second minute, giving his team an early lead they successfully defended until the final whistle. The victory capped a strong tournament run for Colombia, who leave the competition with a well-deserved podium finish.
The same stadium will host the final match between Morocco and Argentina at midnight Sunday local time, a highly anticipated clash that will determine the champion of the 2025 U-20 World Cup in Chile.
