The Moroccan passport has dropped to 70th in the world, down from 67th in July, according to the latest Henley & Partners ranking.

It allows visa-free travel to 73 countries and remains the strongest passport in North Africa, stressed the same source.

Moroccans can travel without a visa to several African countries that have strong political and trade ties with Morocco and regional economic cooperation, as well as to countries in Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

Singapore has the world’s most powerful passport of 2025, allowing its citizens visa-free access to 193 destinations.

Japan and South Korea come second, with entry to 190 countries visa-free or with a visa on arrival. These three countries have held the top spots for over five years now.

Several European countries share third place, including Germany, France, Spain, Finland, Denmark, Ireland, and Italy, with access to 189 countries without a visa.

The U.S. passport fell to 10th, the same as Iceland and Lithuania, offering visa-free entry to 183 countries.

Among emerging countries, India jumped to 77th, enabling its citizens to visit only 59 countries without a visa.

Afghanistan, however, remains at the very bottom of the list, with its passport allowing entry to only 25 countries.

Syria, Iraq, and Yemen are also among the weakest, showing how ongoing conflicts limit people’s travel ability.

The Henley Passport Index is considered one of the most reliable global passport rankings.

It looks at how many countries a passport holder can visit without a visa and uses exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
