The Moroccan U20 team will face the United States on Sunday evening in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U20 World Cup, aiming to match the Kingdom’s historic 2005 semifinal achievement.

Led by coach Mohamed Ouahbi, the Atlas Cubs approach the match with growing confidence after their 2–1 victory over South Korea, built on tactical discipline and collective spirit.

Ouahbi said his players “are focused and aware of the challenge,” emphasizing their goal to represent Morocco and Africa with dignity.

The United States, led by Marko Mitrović, arrives as a formidable opponent after decisive wins over France and Italy, showcasing speed and offensive depth.

Morocco remains the sole Arab and African representative in the tournament, carrying continental hopes after other teams’ early exits.

The match kicks off at 21:00 Moroccan time at El Teniente Stadium and will be broadcast on beIN Sports, Arryadia, and L’Équipe Live Foot.
