The speech delivered Friday HM King Mohammed VI to the parliament is a new “roadmap” that is intended to speed up the march of an emerging and more inclusive Morocco which benefits all Moroccans, said Moroccan-U.S. analyst and academic Anouar Majid.
“The Royal Speech delivered to the nation’s elected representatives and to the government was very clear: to double their efforts to bring to fruition the grand strategic goals of the Kingdom,” Majid told MAP, adding that the objective is to improve the quality of life of all citizens through better services.
He underlined that social justice and combatting territorial inequalities remain, to the Sovereign, the cornerstone of Morocco’s development project.
Social justice, which is not merely an empty slogan or a temporary priority, includes, as HM the King pointed out, responsible governance but also rethinking traditional ways of thinking and working, the analyst added.
The expert also highlighted the High Solicitude His Majesty the King bestows on all Moroccans, illustrated in particular by the Sovereign’s call for the government and the nation’s representatives to mobilize energies and potentialities and put the higher interests of the Nation and citizens first.
