Tourism Minister Fatima Zahra Ammor confirmed that Morocco’s Taza province is included in the 2023–2026 tourism roadmap, which focuses on creating new visitor experiences under regional implementation agreements.

In a written response to parliament, Ammor said the Bouyblane mountain area holds strong potential for eco-tourism thanks to its natural landscapes, new regional road access, and existing mountain lodge.

She added that the Moroccan Agency for Tourism Engineering is ready to support local actors in conducting a feasibility study for a leisure station at the site.

The regional plan includes several projects aimed at boosting tourism offerings, promotion, and the creation of a regional development company to manage cultural and tourism activities.

Ammor noted that local tourism businesses in Taza can benefit from national programs such as “Go Tourisme” and skill development initiatives, as part of Morocco’s broader effort to enhance tourism quality and regional equity.
