Police in the city of Salé arrested a 33-year-old woman Wednesday night on suspicion of possessing and distributing drugs and psychotropic substances, according to security sources.
The operation, carried out with intelligence support from the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), led to her arrest in a neighborhood of the city while allegedly caught in the act of selling illicit substances. A search of her belongings uncovered 2,430 Rivotril tablets and quantities of cocaine intended for distribution.
The suspect has been placed in police custody under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office as investigators work to determine the scope of her alleged trafficking network and identify any potential accomplices.
