Real Madrid is set to launch two themed restaurants in Morocco, one in Tangier and another in Casablanca, by the end of 2025, marking the Spanish football giant’s first foray into the African continent as part of its broader gastronomic expansion under the “Uno By Real Madrid” brand, according to Spanish media reports.
The initiative comes amid the club’s ambition to transform its global image into a full-fledged lifestyle brand, with Morocco chosen strategically for its deep base of “merengue” supporters and its geographic position as a gateway between Europe and Africa.
Franchise agreements with local partners have reportedly been finalized to bring the project to life in the two cities.
Originally launched in Mexico City in October 2023, the Uno By Real Madrid chain has since opened three locations, all in Mexico, with the stated goal of reaching 252 outlets worldwide by 2029. The Moroccan branches will serve as the first outside Latin America.
Designed to merge Madrid-style cuisine with the immersive culture of football fandom, the restaurants will feature match screenings, Real-themed decor, and menus that draw on iconic club moments.
Offerings include “Spicy 93” patatas bravasnamed after Sergio Ramos’ famous 93rd-minute goal in the 2014 Champions League final, and “Viking” burgers, vegetarian options, and team-colored milkshakes.
Following Morocco, additional openings are slated for 2026 in Argentina and Panama, with advanced negotiations underway with partners in South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and the United States, steps that further entrench Real Madrid’s vision of becoming a global cultural brand beyond the pitch.
