Nearly half a million e-visa applications have been processed in three years, confirming a growing interest in this digital transformation. The initiative aims to strengthen Morocco’s appeal as a top tourist destination and boost its international standing.

The third year saw a significant increase, with 187,895 applications, reflecting the system’s maturity and growing user adoption.

Of the e-visas granted, 94.1% were for tourism, which is key to promoting Morocco as a top travel destination. The remaining 5.9% were business e-visas, which serve as a tool for economic diplomacy and trade.

The service, which ensures wide accessibility, has been used by 118 nationalities worldwide. It offers efficient processing times: 72 hours for a standard e-visa and 24 hours for an express e-visa.

The e-visa has also become a crucial tool for hosting major international events, including the 2023 IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings in Marrakech (109 nationalities covered), GITEX Africa Morocco 2024 (118 nationalities covered), and GITEX Africa Morocco 2025 (117 nationalities covered).

These results underscore the e-visa’s value in modernizing consular services, facilitating tourism to enhance the Kingdom’s global appeal, and promoting Morocco as a premier host for large-scale international events.
