Moroccan internationals Achraf Hakimi and Yassine Bounou have been named in the FIFA Club World Cup Team of the Tournament, following the conclusion of the expanded 32-team edition held in the United States.
Right-back Hakimi shined with two goals and two assists for Paris Saint-Germain, despite the team’s 3–0 loss to Chelsea in the final at MetLife Stadium. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Bounou played a key role in helping Saudi side Al Hilal reach the quarterfinals before falling 2–1 to Brazil’s Fluminense.
The FIFA-selected Best XI also includes PSG’s Marquinhos and Vitinha, Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, Pedro Neto, Enzo Fernandez, and Cole Palmer, alongside Thiago Silva and Jhon Arias of Fluminense, and Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia.
