The lower house is set today to convene its Committee on Justice, Legislation, and Human Rights to discuss a series of proposed laws focused on public health and drug prevention.
Among the proposals is an amendment to Law No. 15.91, aiming to further restrict smoking and tobacco advertising in specific areas, submitted by the Haraki group.
Another proposal from the same group seeks to ban the use of shisha and electronic cigarettes in designated places.
The Justice and Development Party is also presenting a bill to prohibit smoking, shisha, cigars, and e-cigarettes in public spaces, along with related advertising.
