Forbes magazine has named three Moroccan companies among the Arab world’s top 100 family businesses for 2025: O Capital Group (Benjelloun family), Holmarcom (Bensalah family), and Diana Holding (Zniber family).
O Capital Group, chaired by Othman Benjelloun, ranked 23rd. The group, formed in 2021 from the merger of FinanceCom and Holding Benjelloun Mezian, holds a 7.16% stake in Bank of Africa. In 2024, its subsidiary O Tower signed a management deal with Hilton to launch a Waldorf Astoria hotel in the Mohammed VI Tower. Benjelloun’s family wealth is estimated at $1.6 billion.
Holmarcom, ranked 80th, operates in finance, agribusiness, real estate, and insurance. In 2024, it launched an AI institute and partially listed Crédit du Maroc.
Diana Holding, led by Rita Zniber, placed 84th. Active in agriculture, alcohol, seafood, and retail, the group manages 8,300 hectares and over 30 subsidiaries. Zniber also heads a foundation supporting underprivileged children.
Gulf companies dominated the list, with Saudi Arabia and the UAE leading.
