Women's Futsal AFCON: Morocco Beat Cameroon 7-1, Advance to Semi-Finals

The Moroccan women’s futsal team qualified for the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON Morocco-2025), beating its Cameroonian counterpart 7-1, in the match of the 2nd day of Group A on Thursday evening at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex.

Morocco’s goals came from Amal El Ouafi (4′), Yvana Mbozomo own goal (12′), Chirine Knaidil (15′), Meryem Hajri (28′), Doha El Madani (33′), Siham Tadlaoui (40′) and Malak Al Kilani (40′). Brunelle Beulou (17′) scored for Cameroon.

The Moroccan team secured top spot in their group with their second win of the group phase, following their victory over their Namibian peers (8-1) on Matchday 1 last Tuesday.

The last match of the group pits Cameroon against Namibia on Saturday (8:00 p.m.).

Winners from each of the three phases will advance directly to the semi-finals of the tournament. The fourth place in the semi-finals will go to the team ranked second best out of all the groups.

The finalists of this first Women’s Futsal AFCON will qualify for the Women’s Futsal World Cup, scheduled to take place in the Philippines from November 27 to December 7, 2025.
