The Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) hosted the “Morocco Now” Economic Day in Dubai, emphasizing the strategic partnership between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) under the theme “From Vision to Action: Morocco and the Emirates Charting a Bright Future Together.”
Held on the sidelines of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM-2025), the event brought together top institutional leaders, business representatives, and members of the Moroccan diaspora in the Gulf region.
The event showcased Morocco’s investment potential, particularly in sectors such as transport, renewable energy, and industry, thanks to recent reforms and a new legislative framework designed to attract investment.
In a recorded message, Morocco’s Minister Delegate for Investment, Karim Zidane, highlighted the UAE’s role as Morocco’s second-largest foreign investor, with investments totaling 118 billion dirhams by 2022.

Zidane noted the 2024 signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two nations, a key milestone in fostering deeper bilateral cooperation, adding that the CEPA aims to enhance trade and investment flows between Morocco and the UAE, targeting high-potential sectors.
He also underscored Morocco’s commitment to becoming a regional investment hub, supported by a stable political environment, innovative energy strategies, and a highly qualified workforce.
Moroccan Ambassador to the UAE, Ahmed Tazi, further emphasized Morocco’s reliability as a business partner, referencing the recent inaugural meeting of the Morocco-Emirates Business Council in Sharjah.
He noted that both countries are united by a longstanding partnership driven by the shared vision of their leaders, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Emirati company Al Ghaith Holding and AMDIE.
Key figures including AMDIE Director General Ali Seddiki and CGEM President Chakib Alj highlighted the progress made by Morocco in developing its infrastructure and attracting international investment, signaling a promising future for Moroccan-UAE economic relations.
