New details emerged during the trial of the woman accused of slapping a local authority officer in Temara, alongside three others suspected of involvement in the incident that sparked widespread debate after a video of the altercation went viral on social media.
In today’s session, the defense lawyer argued that the primary accused was not the one who struck the officer but was, in fact, slapped first.
The defense also revealed that the accused is three months pregnant and has been bleeding since her incarceration, requesting her release on bail and medical examination to confirm if a miscarriage occurred.
The medical certificate issued for the officer, stating 30 days of incapacity, was also questioned, with the defense requesting the attending doctor to testify.
The defense presented claims of illegal arrest and assault on another defendant, while questioning the authenticity of the video shared online. The public prosecutor introduced new evidence, including a medical certificate from a local authority member, while the defense pointed out a previous case involving the officer.
