Morocco to Expand Ain Johra Industrial Zone
Friday 28 March 2025 - 21:15

Morocco’s cabinet approved on Friday a decree expanding the Ain Johra Industrial Acceleration Zone (ZAI), reinforcing the country’s push to attract investment and boost industrial output.

The decree, presented by Industry and Trade Minister Ryad Mezzour, amends a 2022 law establishing the zone in Ain Johra Sidi Boukhalkhal, Khemisset province. The expansion increases the zone’s total area to 117 hectares, the government said in a press release.

The move aligns with Morocco’s industrial acceleration strategy, catering to rising investor demand in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region. The Ain Johra ZAI is designed to enhance the country’s manufacturing ecosystem, particularly in automotive, aerospace, and agribusiness sectors.
