Morocco’s women’s national football team has climbed to 60th in the FIFA world rankings, maintaining its position as one of the top three teams in Africa.
The Atlas Lionesses improved their ranking from 61st in December to 60th thanks to victories over Ghana and Haiti in February, which contributed 1.7 ranking points. Nigeria currently holds the top spot in Africa, ranked 36th globally, followed by South Africa at 54th.
The 2025 FIFA Women’s World Ranking also saw Djibouti make its historic debut in the ranking, securing 195th place. Four more African national teams are expected to join the rankings soon.
