Morocco’s National Airports Office (ONDA) has taken steps to eliminate long queues at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. The initiative will be gradually implemented at other airports across the Kingdom.

“In a continuous effort to improve customer experience, the inspection devices – scanners and security gates – at the entrances of Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca have been relocated, thereby eliminating long queues,” ONDA said in a statement. The move “will allow travelers to access the various entry points of the airport more quickly, thus streamlining the boarding process.”

According to the same source, “This progress was made possible thanks to coordination between the various authorities in charge of airport security, including the Ministry of the Interior, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), and the Royal Gendarmerie.”

The measure, part of the new “Airports 2030” strategy aimed at modernizing airport infrastructure in the Kingdom, “will be gradually deployed in other airports across the Kingdom, starting with Marrakech Airport in the coming days.”

The statement concludes that other measures will soon be implemented to reinforce this dynamic, with the ongoing goal of improving the traveler experience and making Moroccan airports benchmarks in terms of efficiency and quality of service.
