By the end of 2025, Morocco will deploy a total of 2,373 Amazigh-speaking agents, including those fluent in Tarifit, Tachelhit, and Tamazight, according to Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.
During a session in the House of Representatives, she explained that 464 Amazigh-speaking agents are currently deployed at central and decentralized levels.
Additionally, the recruitment of 1,840 agents is planned for this year, along with 69 agents working in 10 call centers.
The government is also advancing the use of the Amazigh language in public administration.
Over 3,000 signs in Amazigh have been placed in seven administrations, and plans are underway to add more than 1,000 signs, including in embassies and consulates.
Seghrouchni said that Amazigh is now featured on 10 official websites in a pilot phase, with plans for broader implementation.
She highlighted the government’s commitment to promoting Amazigh, noting the translation of parliamentary sessions and weekly press conferences into the language.
The government is also supporting cultural events and educational initiatives to strengthen the presence of Amazigh in Moroccan public life.
