Morocco’s AS FAR were held to a 1-1 draw by AS Maniema Union on Saturday at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa, in Matchday 3 of the group stage (Group B) of the CAF Champions League.
The Congolese team landed the first blow in the 37th minute through their left back, Exaucia Moanda, before Anglonal To Carnero pulled the game back for the Militarians in the second half (62′).
With this draw, AS FAR consolidate their position at the top of Group B with 5 points, while Maniema Union provisionally hold second place (3 pts).
The other Group B match will see Morocco’s second representative in the competition, Raja Club Athletic (1 pts), face South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns (2 pts) in Pretoria on Sunday.
On Matchday 4, AS FAR will host AS Maniema Union on January 3 at the Stade El Abdi in El Jadida.
