The U.S. Department of Defense has announced that ELB Services LLC has secured a 10-year contract to provide Mission Planning Support services for the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces.

The same source revealed that the contract is planned to remain in effect until December 31, 2034, benefiting Morocco as well as Australia, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Egypt, France, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, South Korea, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

The contract, worth $600 million, is aimed at supporting global defense operations and is a single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement for mission planning support services.

The same source explained that “work is planned to be carried out at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, along with various locations outside the United States.

Military sources describe ELB Services LLC as a company that supports U.S. fighter jets, particularly the F-16, focusing on reconnaissance missions and enhancing their electronic systems.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Department of Defense announced that Lockheed Martin had secured a new contract to support Morocco’s fleet of F-16s, covering an unlimited number of services.

It’s worth mentioning that Morocco has previously received F-16 support, with a similar deal announced in 2019 that included advanced equipment and missiles like AMRAAM, CMBRE, JDAM, and PAVEWAY systems.

Morocco’s fleet of F-16s is undergoing continuous upgrades, with the new F-16 Block 72 jets, expected to enter service soon, set to be equipped with the advanced Viper Shield system.
