Controversial Moroccan YouTuber Reda Bouzidi, known as “Oueld Chinwia,” was arrested and placed at the Ain Sebaâ prison in Casablanca on Wednesday evening, sources told Hespress.

He was presented before the public prosecutor at the Casablanca Court of First Instance, facing multiple charges, including “defamation, invasion of privacy, spreading false allegations, damaging reputations, and threatening to commit a crime.”

Bouzidi, accompanied by his family and another woman, is also accused of inciting chaos within a security institution and violating private spaces through his actions on digital platforms.

Following the announcement of his arrest, Bouzidi reportedly collapsed in court.

The National Judicial Police Brigade (BNPJ) is continuing an investigation into audio recordings linked to Bouzidi on TikTok, in which he is accused of “human trafficking.” The investigation is awaiting the results of a technical analysis of his mobile phones.
