Employment authorities in Italy’s Veneto region have announced plans to recruit 500 Moroccan workers specialized in mechatronics to address labor shortages in Veneto and other areas.
This recruitment initiative is part of the EU-funded THAMM Plus project, managed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which aims to facilitate professional mobility for North African workers to Italy.
Under this project, selected workers will receive vocational and language training in their home countries before relocating to Italy, providing Italian companies with access to skilled labor that is otherwise difficult to find locally.
