The Moroccan Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an orange-level alert warning against locally heavy thunderstorms, gusty winds and a potential risk of hail.
These showers, bringing 15- to 30-millimeter (0.6- to 1.2-inch) rainfall, are forecast to affect the provinces of Ifrane, Sefrou, Taza, Fez, Boulemane, Oujda-Angad, Guercif and Taourirt between 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Friday, the DGM further specified.
