Friday 9 August 2024 - 22:26

The Embassy of Morocco in Azerbaijan announced, on Friday, that a visa exemption agreement between the two countries will officially take effect on August 28, 2024. The agreement allows citizens of both nations holding ordinary passports to travel without a visa for stays of up to 90 days.

According to a statement from Morocco’s diplomatic mission in Baku, Azerbaijani nationals will be able to visit Morocco visa-free, provided their passports remain valid for at least 180 days from their date of entry. Moroccan citizens will likewise enjoy similar visa-free entry privileges when traveling to Azerbaijan.

The implementation of this agreement is expected to significantly boost tourism and trade between Morocco and Azerbaijan. The embassy emphasized that this development coincides with the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Rabat and Baku, which is also on August 28.
