The rollout of 5G networks in Morocco necessitates a change in the country’s economic model, according to Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ghita Mezzour.
Speaking at a question-and-answer session in the House of Representatives on Monday, Mezzour emphasized that the new technologies and investments required for 5G differ significantly from those needed for 4G services.
She further highlighted that benefiting from the coverage offered by 5G networks demands the availability of compatible and modern telecommunications devices.
The Minister confirmed that the national digital development strategy includes a section dedicated to 5G, with its launch planned for the medium term.
