A Hespress source revealed that the Mawazine festival organizers did not reach out to Saad Lamjarred or his management for a potential performance at the festival, set to kick off in June.

The Moroccan singer has recently stirred up controversy on social media, after expressing his desire to return to the Moroccan concert scene, prompting activists to launch a petition to ban the artist from performing on Moroccan stages.

The same source noted that Lamjarred has not scheduled any performances in Morocco for the foreseeable future.

Additionally, the singer’s temporary legal permission, obtained over a year ago amid his ongoing legal saga in France, is set to expire by the end of May, requiring his return to French territory.
