French striker Karim Benzema has sent an ambiguous message after his dramatic comments at the end of the match against Al-Taawoun FC on Friday.
The captain drew with Al-Taawoun FC in the 27th round of the Saudi League, maintaining its fourth place with 47 points, equal to Al-Taawoun’s fifth place, behind it on goal difference.
After the match, Benzema made some controversial statements, in which he emphasized that the situation at Al-Ittihad is not the same as it is at Real Madrid (his former team), saying that he cannot achieve victories alone, and that there is a possibility of his departure next summer.
Benzema posted a photo on his personal social media accounts, with the caption: “And don’t forget that there is always a return.”
Al-Ittihad fans had attacked the French star after his statement, demanding that he be removed from the team, as his statements detracted from his teammates.
