Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique granted Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi additional leave following the Atlas Lions’ disappointing exit from the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16.
According to Le Parisien, Enrique decided to allow Hakimi extra time to overcome the setback and recuperate mentally before returning to Paris.
Hakimi returned alongside the rest of the Atlas Lions on Thursday, and is set to rejoin PSG at the end of this week, after receiving approval from Enrique.
The right-back will miss PSG’s match against Strasbourg in the French league on Friday but should be available for the Champions League clash against Real Sociedad on February 14.
