In a collaborative control operation, Bab Sebta customs officials successfully seized, on Saturday, a significant quantity of cannabis resin, totaling 18 kg.

The joint efforts included meticulous search operations at the departure zone targeting a vehicle registered in Spain. The investigation led to the discovery of the illicit drugs cleverly concealed in tablet form. The narcotics were found in carefully crafted compartments hidden within the fuel tank of the vehicle, as reported by customs sources.

Both the vehicle and the seized drugs were promptly confiscated by customs authorities. The driver, identified as a Moroccan national residing abroad, was handed over to the police for further investigation.
