This announcement was made in the joint communiqué released following the meeting held on Monday in Rabat between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita, and his counterpart from the Republic of Malawi, Nancy Tembo.

On this occasion, both parties reaffirmed the importance of the JCC as an essential mechanism to strengthen collaboration between the two countries, emphasizing the need to hold it regularly, as stated in the joint communiqué.

The agenda for this first session of the Joint Commission will cover various sectors, including agriculture, food security, mining, water and sanitation, energy, transportation, infrastructure development, land planning, housing and urban development, higher education and scientific research, as well as tourism and cultural and religious programs.

In this context, the two ministers highlighted the significant economic potential of both countries, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to developing a mutually beneficial economic partnership and raising bilateral exchanges to a satisfactory level.

They agreed to create a more favorable environment for mutual investments and encourage business communities in both countries to fully explore and take advantage of the opportunities offered by their expanding markets and infrastructures.

During this meeting, which reviewed the overall bilateral relations in various sectors, the two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the sustained pace of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and the signing of the cooperation roadmap for the period 2022-2024.
