A tattoo video featuring Swedish traveler Cait Delphine, who impulsively got “mayonnaise” tatted on her arm in a Moroccan hostel, has garnered 1.5 million views and is currently trending on social media platforms.
Social media users, confused about whether it was a voluntary act or an impulsive decision, tried to tell the TikTok user that her tattoo translates to “Mayonnaise”, thinking that she had no idea about the accurate translation.
However, Delphine, fully aware of her tattoo’s meaning, or lack of it, addressed this in a second video, saying, ” To everyone asking why, I ask, why not?”
The solo traveler, who had a very small following, is now gaining thousands of views and followers because of the viral tattoo TikTok.
In a separate clip, she explained that alongside some traveling friends how “like even mayonnaise looks beautiful written in Arabic.”

What started as an inside joke became a matching group tattoo commemorating a two-and-a-half-week trip to Morocco.
After that famous Twitter user Saeed Di Caprio, with a large following of half a million on X, shared a screenshot from the viral “Mayonnaise” TikTok, comments were swarmed with mixed reactions, from jokes to people asking Delphine to get a laser tattoo removal.
The tourists asked her followers to visit the tattoo shop based in Marrakech, as, despite becoming an internet meme, she appreciated the professionalism and craft of the Moroccan tattoo artist.
The viral video showed the traveler, using the Google image translating feature, to make sure that what’s on her body means exactly what she was going for. After that, the clip surfaced on the web, and the research motor Google, very active on TikTok commented on the video saying “True friendship is Mayonnaise.”
