Neo Motors, the foremost Moroccan-owned automotive manufacturer, conducted a ceremony today at its Ain Aouda headquarters, where it delivered the first NEO vehicles to their owners, according to a press release by the company.

Attended by Mr. Ryad MEZZOUR, Minister of Industry and Commerce, this event officially launched public availability of NEO vehicles.

Previously, ing Mohammed VI presided over the introduction of Neo’s inaugural Moroccan-built car model on May 15, 2023, aiming to strengthen the “Made In Morocco” label and establish the Kingdom as a competitive automotive production hub.

Mr. Ryad Mezzour emphasized the project’s alignment with Royal Directives to encourage productive private sector investments and nurture a new generation of Moroccan enterprises.

Since the 2019 agreement between the Moroccan government and Neo Motors, efforts have focused on developing Morocco’s premier public vehicle brand.

Neo Motors’ CEO, Mr. Nassim Belkhayat, highlighted the project’s significance in realizing the vision for industrial sovereignty, supporting the “Made in Morocco” label, and contributing to the competitive Moroccan automotive platform.

The event also involved agreements between Neo Motors, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and OFPPT to enhance the company’s skills and development by training qualified human resources. Additionally, partnerships with key entities like CREDIT AGRICOLE DU MAROC (CAM), SOFAC, MAGHREBAIL, MAROC LEASING, and SPEEDY MAROC were established, offering favorable conditions and maintenance services for aspiring Neo owners.
