Royal Air Maroc has canceled its scheduled flight between Casablanca and Tel Aviv on Saturday, October 7, due to the violent escalation in the Gaza Strip. The decision to cancel flight AT228, which was set to be operated by a Boeing 737 with a capacity of 160 seats, comes amid heightened tensions between Hamas and the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip.
The flight, originally departing from Casablanca at 11:20 p.m. en route to Ben-Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, will not proceed as planned. However, it’s worth noting that a flight by the Israeli airline El Al, departing from Marrakech to Tel Aviv on the same Saturday evening, remains unaffected.
Morocco has voiced its deep concern over the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip, condemning the attacks against civilians wherever they occur.
