The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football announced on Wednesday in Cairo, the selection of the joint bid submitted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

CAF President Patrice Motsepe said, in a press conference following the committee meeting, that the selection of these countries was made within the framework of rotating the organization of this continental competition and giving an opportunity to various geographical regions on the continent to host major demonstrations and develop their capabilities and infrastructure.

He added that the joint organization is evidence that football is one of the points of African unity.
