Real Betis Sevilla have secured the services of Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, following his transfer from FC Barcelona as part of the current summer mercato.

The two clubs “have reached an agreement for the transfer for 7.5 million euros”, while the Blaugrana club “reserves the right to buy the player and 50% of any future sale of the player”, announced the Catalan club.

In a statement, FC Barcelona expressed their gratitude to Ezzalzouli, “for his commitment and dedication”, while wishing him “good luck and success in the future”.

The Moroccan international joined Barça in the 2021/22 season from Hercules Alicante.

On October 30, 2021, he made his Barça first-team debut against Deportivo Alavés in a league match.

In his first season with the Blaugrana, he made 12 appearances and scored one goal.

In the 2022/23 season, Ezzalzouli was loaned out to Osasuna. He helped the Pamplona club finish seventh and reach the King’s Cup final. With Osasuna, he played 34 matches and scored 6 goals.
