The US Consulate General in Casablanca announced today the arrival of its new Consul General, Marissa D. Scott, who took leadership of the US Consulate in Casablanca on August 10, 2023.
Consul General Scott succeeds Lawrence M. Randolph, who completed his diplomatic assignment in Morocco on July 2, 2023, detailed a statement from the consulate.
Scott is a career diplomat and has spent most of her career working in Africa on public diplomacy and media relations.
Her previous assignments were Djibouti, the Dominican Republic, Algeria, Niger, Cabo Verde, and South Africa.
“I am honored to take up the role of Consul General in Casablanca,” Consul General Scott said, quoted in the statement.
“The Consulate is an integral part of the U.S. Mission in Morocco, and I look forward to supporting our bilateral relationship through the broad range of consular services, educational and cultural programs, and commercial resources we offer in Casablanca.”
