Royal Gendarmerie forces in Agadir have launched a wide security campaign against unauthorized car guards, known as “yellow vests,” at various beaches north of Agadir.
This crackdown is in response to citizen complaints about continuous harassment from these individuals, especially in popular tourist spots.
Ten individuals have been arrested along the coastal strip.
Activists in Agadir began circulating a petition to gather signatures from residents, urging regional authorities and local councils to intervene and protect citizens from the activities of these “yellow vest” guards, who extract fees in exchange for parking assistance.
