Judicial police in Fez successfully apprehended a Dutch national in Meknes on Wednesday, based on information from the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance.
The individual was the subject of an international arrest warrant for his involvement in attempted voluntary homicide with a firearm as part of a criminal network’s operations.
The suspect was apprehended while using a false Belgian identity in Meknes.
The General Directorate of National Security revealed that he possessed counterfeit Belgian documents that aided his evasion of the international arrest warrant.
The individual, 43, is the target of an Interpol red notice and international search request at the behest of Dutch judicial authorities.
He was implicated in an organized crime network’s alleged attempt at intentional firearm-related homicide within the Netherlands.
The foreign national is now in police custody for a comprehensive judicial inquiry supervised by the relevant public prosecutor’s office.
