Morocco’s hopes of a strong start to the Women’s World Cup were dashed on Monday as they suffered a heavy 6-0 defeat against the second-ranked team worldwide, Germany.
The defeat leaves Morocco at the bottom of Group H, with Germany leading the group.
The Moroccans will need to bounce back in their next games against South Korea and Colombia, which will take place on Sunday and Thursday, if they are to have any chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
