The organizers of a concert by French rapper Ninho in Morocco have announced a new date and a change in the venue after its postponement in June.
The concert will now take place on the evening of August 5th at a Marrakesh hotel instead of the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca.
Director of the organizing company Amine Labyad told Hespress that the event will be held in an open-air space with strict security measures. He further explained that most ticket holders from the original event have chosen to keep their tickets despite the change in location, and only a few were refunded.
The cancellation news of Ninho’s concert in Casablanca had stirred widespread debate on social media and among the fans of the French star.
It was revealed that the aftermath of a campaign led by Moroccan activists against rapper Booba, resulting in the ban of his performance due to old lyrics that some deemed derogatory toward Moroccan women, had cast a negative shadow on Ninho’s concert.
