A water shortage crisis continues to plague several neighborhoods in the city of Tata, sparking outrage among residents, who are calling on the Ministry of Interior to intervene and instruct the local authorities to swiftly resolve the issue.
NGOs in the affected neighborhoods criticized the recurring water cuts due to ongoing construction work in the city’s streets and alleys, which have not been completed yet, leaving residents without access to drinking water for a week.
The frustrated community organizations expressed their dismay at the interruption of this vital resource, especially during the recent rise in temperatures, hindering essential household activities.
According to a Hespress source in Tata, who preferred to remain anonymous, the matter has been discussed with the provincial governor and relevant departments and temporary relief is being provided through water truck deliveries until the situation is resolved.
Additionally, the same source notes that the governor has urged the construction company responsible for the infrastructure work to expedite the projects and prevent further disruptions to the supply of drinking water, particularly in unaffected residential areas.
