Canada has announced its plan to introduce individual warning labels on cigarettes and other tobacco products, to further diminish the appeal of such items.
The Canadian government’s health department said that starting August 1, Canada will adopt a phased approach to ensure cigarette companies include distinct health warnings on individual products.
Initially, this requirement will apply to king-size cigarettes by the end of July 2024, while all other tobacco products, including regular-sized cigarettes and little cigars, will also bear these individual health warnings by the end of April 2025.
