The National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA) is hosting an unprecedented event from May 19 to 20 in the capital of lights, Rabat, to highlight the latest technological advances and applications of AI in industry, education, and research.
The event was created by Innovation Edge (IIE), a student club established in 2018 at INSEA, which aims to provide a place for the institute’s students to share their creative ideas, with a focus on artificial intelligence, data science, and statistics.
InseAI will bring together the most innovative Moroccan AI startups, AI researchers, enthusiasts, and students.
The event’s main goal is to create a space to share ideas, exchange knowledge and build partnerships for a smarter and more connected future.
The program includes an AI thesis presentation competition called “My AI Thesis in 180 Seconds”, a series of “Startup Talks” where entrepreneurs present their work and success stories, and “The AI Village”, an interactive area dedicated to AI demonstrations and workshops.
The “My AI thesis in 180 seconds” competition will bring together over 20 participants to present their ideas related to artificial intelligence, in just 180 seconds.
The competition will be judged by three AI experts, to select the top three winners based on the originality and impact of their research.
“Startup Talks” will bring together the best Moroccan AI startups to share their innovative journey and inspire future generations. These talks will serve as a platform to showcase their work, challenges, and successes in the AI industry.
A crucial part of the event is “The AI Village” which consists of four houses, three of aiwhich will host AI-focused activities including workshops, demos, and presentations.
As for the fourth house, it will be available for a sponsor to host an activity of their choice.
“The InseAI event will be an opportunity for attendees to gain hands-on experience with AI technologies and discover new ways to use them to solve real-world problems. We believe InseAI will be a great opportunity for AI enthusiasts to come together, network, and learn from each other,” said the Innovation Edge club in a press release.
