From June 22 to 24, the Jazzablanca music festival will return to Anfa Park and Place des Nations Unies for its 16th edition, with a program filled with talent, passion, and emotion.
In an inaugural conference held on May 9, the organizers announced that this edition is the first after changing the event’s visual identity, which now reflects the color of Casablanca’s warm sunsets.
The organizers intend to have 15 restaurants at the venue, which is a small village with a variety of options, to cater to festival attendees’ needs.
The newest feature of this version is a Cashless card, which, as the name implies, allows you to stroll through the various stands and make purchases without any cash.
As preparations for the event have already begun, two hectares of Anfa Park will be used to welcome local and foreign jazz music enthusiasts next month.
Jazzablanca is launching an eco-friendly initiative to make this edition, not just a musical celebration but carbon positive edition, meaning that all food and drinks will be served in eco-friendly packaging.
BMCI Foundation is the event’s partner; its main goal is to support Moroccan talents and promote culture.
The foundation’s representative said that his organization has a special affection for Jazzablanca, which is why this year, because of BMCI, several Moroccan talents will perform at the event at Place Des Nations Unies.
The six Moroccan groups to perform are Izouran N-Sahara, Sound of Mint, Khmissa, Tarwa N-Tiniri, Badil, and Jubantouja.
As for the main venues, the talented Gambian British Sona Jabareth will open the show at the “Scene 21” venue on June 22, and the pop icon Mika will close the event on June 24 under Casablanca’s dreamy sky.
Jazzablanca has promoted the diversity of Morocco’s musical and cultural scene since 2006 and is experiencing constant growth while attracting thousands of more numerous and enthusiastic festival-goers each year.
The festival’s voyage is brimming with highlights, from concerts by renowned musicians to fresh musical discoveries from around the world.
