Badr Siwane, a well-known Moroccan triathlete, performed admirably at the Aquathlon World Championship in Ibiza, Spain, and qualified for the Bali Beach Games.
Siwane finished 16th out of 80 competitors from all around the world in this difficult competition that combined 1km of swimming and 5km of running.
He demonstrated his strength, technique, and commitment by swimming in 13 minutes and 23 seconds and running in 15 minutes and 52 seconds.
Siwane is a five-time African Triathlon Champion and the winner of the 2019 African Games in Rabat.
His objective is to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris and Los Angeles, and he has already accomplished a significant milestone by qualifying for the Beach Games, which will be held in Bali from August 1 to 6, 2023.
This upcoming competition will provide Badr Siwane with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent Morocco in Aquathlon, a first in the country’s history.
“I would like to express my gratitude to my private sponsors OCP/Hudson Morocco for their support in my Olympic quest, as well as the Federation for its support. It is a great honor for me to represent Morocco in international sports competitions, and I will continue to do so with pride and determination,” said the athlete.
Siwane is presently practicing with his coach in Aix-en-Provence for two weeks in preparation for the next events.
