Four individuals were arrested in Azilal as authorities dismantled an abortion network, after a woman filed a complaint alleging that her partner made her abort using imported pills.
Hespress sources noted that a nurse in a private Beni Mellal clinic was among the detained, in addition to a former security guard at the Beni Mellal regional hospital who served as a mediator.
The network was promoting illegal abortion pills, the authorities’ investigation revealed, which the nurse used to obtain from his girlfriend in Europe, the same sources said.
